Director's Biography

Mariana Keller is a New York-based director, producer and editor with a passion for creating character-centric documentary films.

She is currently Senior Video Producer at NBC News, but has created short docs for The New York Times, The Atlantic, TIME Magazine, and The Wall Street Journal, among others.

Accolades include: an Emmy Award for Outstanding Feature Story in a Newsmagazine (2018) for her short documentary "Battling Dementia: A Mother and Son's Incredible Journey", Best Director of a Short Doc from CHAIN NYC Film Festival (2018), a McArthur Foundation grant (2011), Agence France-Presse Photo of the Year (2007), an East-West Center Fellowship in China/HK (2018) and a Tow-Knight Fellowship (2011).
